Document Summary
Leadership is the ability to influence, motivate and enable others to contribute towards the effectiveness of the organizations of which they are members. Shared leadership is a view that leadership is a role, not a position assigned to one person. Leadership should be a role that you (any employee) assume in various times and various ways. Formal leaders are willing to delegate power (and employees are not afraid to take initiative for the fear of failure) There is a collaborative (not competitive) culture. Transformational leadership (cid:448)ie(cid:449)s leaders as (cid:862)(cid:272)ha(cid:374)ge age(cid:374)ts(cid:863) leaders create, communicate and model a shared vision for the organization and inspiring employees to strive for that vision.
