Sex: what we are, what is between your legs. Gender: who we are, whats between your ears. Sexual orientation: to who were attracted, emotionally, spiritually, sexually and financially. Trans: someone whos gender identity and or expression is incongruent with their assigned sex and gender role. This includes those who need or opt for surgical and hormonal procedures as well as those who do not. Often used as an umbrella term which can include transsexual, transgender, 2spirited, gender queer, and other gender creative identities. Cis: someone whose gender identity and gender expression is consistent with the dominant cultural norms for their assigned sex.
