A country should be able to enter into treaties, decide if it goes to war, decide what it does with its currency. Military is weak, and according to norad, america has the obligation to defend us. Nationalism is the ideology that people who commonly identify strongly with a group. Based on their identity, these nationalists wants independence. Ethnic nationalism: similar to each other based on ethnicity and history. Believed they had the right to rule over everyone because of ethnic superiority. Civic nationalism: based on bonds based on common political symbols. Doesn"t matter where you"re from, everything is based on the american dream, and american way.
