In his scholarly work, he worked on subjects that look like very far from each other when we first look at them. Power has 2 different ideas: traditional, and foucault"s way of describing power. Foucault as a thinker changed the way power was thought of. Standard theory: some people have something and some people don"t. Foucault through his studies came with a different way. He said that power is not located at a specific place or person. He was interested in how power works. He said that power is sort of floating all around. The punishment becomes more like a punishment to the soul, to the spirit. Through this architectural structure, produces a way of punishing people. The other feature of the tower is all of it"s windows are of the same size. He used this idea, and theorized that the whole society is in a similar structure.
