Socio is a way of seeing of the general in the specific: particular= unique, specific, examining a specific phenomenon (particular event), extrapolate to make a general, broad social pattern. Its an invitation, also a skill set if you accept socio theory, you employ skill set. Being able to make 3 sets of interconnected relationships: b/w individual and society intimate relationship individ shapes/influences/acts upon society in which they live, b/w biography and history. Bio= story of a person; hist= story of a ppl/society. What happens in society has an impact on person, vice versa: b/w self and social world. Your family, work, nbhd, etc. recognizing, understanding, grasping. Sociological theories and paradigms theory= statement about how or why facts are related; seeks to try and establish a relationship (cause + effect)
