Describe the importance and implication of the study. Hypothesis are typically tested with: observational tests, controlled experiments, models, and meta-analyses. Meta-analyses: a relatively new approach to testing hypotheses by aggregating and analyzing research studies (started being used around 1980) Observational and experimental studies have a single study that: you design and execute, applies to the world and is likely limited, and the circumstances of the study are likely important. Meta-analyses are made up of many studies where: you collect results from many studies, apply a broader application to the world, and the circumstances of individual studies are less important. It would take a long time to do this many experiments on your own it also allows for the inspection of other variables.
