Endures from day to day, year to year. Units of analysis: traits: describes what a person tends to do, types: clusters of traits (e. g. macho, feminine, personality process. Psychological reactions that change over relatively brief time periods. Has genetic determinants: genetics contribute strongly to one"s personality. Has environmental determinants: culture, social class, family, peers/peer groups, growth and development.
