Becomes arguably the most wealthy man on the planet. Does essentially the same thing that carnegie did with steel. Gained control of important resources and some early pipelines. Not many labour unions seen as socialists. Until the creation of the elevator, buildings were max 8 floors. The creation of the elevator allows sullivan to create skyscrapers. Pushing for broader education, in the north its taking off (a lot more equity for teachers, public schools for everyone); in the south, they"re late to offer the same as the north.
