Document Summary
Introduction: this part of the course is to bring the medicinal/pharmaceutical chemistry research experience (as practiced in academia) closer to students. Given the large enrollment, we cannot place students in the laboratory, so instead we will bring the laboratory to students, in the form of four short presentations of current research projects related to drug discovery. Basic information: the presentations will be given at the end of class during four lectures in february and march. Students will need to write up short reports on two of the four presentations following the template below. Note that the slide decks for these presentations will be uploaded to eclass, so you do not need to take copious notes during the talks. These short reports will be due by 5:00 p. m. on. They can be submitted as printed out hard copies or sent by e-mail as electronic documents.
