Dc-sign is one of the human"s proteins that could be encoded by the cd209 gene. It is a c-type lectin receptor on the surface of macrophages and dendritic cells that can accept mannose type carbohydrates ligands to activate phagocytosis. In fact it motivates dendritic cell to interact with blood endothelium to activate cd4+t cells. Cd40 is a protein on antigen cells which its existence is necessary for their activation. The cd40l protein on th cells binds to cd40 protein to activate antigen presenting cells. For abo incompatible heart transplant, we need a tolerogen to suppress immune response. Lnfpiii and a synthetic non-self abo are attached to nanoparticles or stents and then exposed to an infant to induce b-cell tolerance.
