This implies a lot - britain"s loss of economic authority, immigration regulation, which re ected realities of eu membership. Ex. in america myths relate to mexicans. Strange cultural nostalgia about glory days of the empire, about mattering or not having to consult anyone. Nostalgia translated into relationship with eu and coloured the leave campaign. Immigration, many people in britain felt that they were losing their cultural identity due to waves of migration.
