Started to take himself out of the picture (depicting how separate he started to feel) When he knew he had ad he painted a self-portrait clutching on to the table. In the end he couldn"t even recognize his own paintings. He died in 2007, but i think he died in 2000 when he could no longer paint . He was so fearful it almost decapitated him . Pictures are complex, the violent movements controlled by strong line. Moody and emotive atmosphere relieved by beautiful textures and decorative patterns. Flat graphic design, rich pattern and strong color. Symptoms were gradual and you could observe the progression in the paintings. He was aware of his decline and started to depict himself differently. He agreed to paint a picture of a friend for their family but a year later little work was done. Began to use fewer colors, paintings were less detailed ** think of a comment you would write.
