Explore: see what we can learn through analyzing: research question. Describe: we attempt to describe characteristics, etc, etc. Explain: we develop an explanation to provide a framework. Critically assess: understand there is always room for advancement. Recognition that we all come with an agenda. Ie: is there a relationship between money and hapiness: literature review. What is known, to find where there are gaps and limitations. Databases vs internet search engines (google: narrowed focus. Develop and hypothesis(say something about relationship: ie happiness&money) Validity: extent to which a study or concept accurately measures what it is supposed to measure. Reliability: extent to which a study or research instrument yields consistent results: research design. You can have something very valid, but not reliable.
