Anatomy focuses on the structure of how thing work. Physiology looks at how body systems work together. There is a set point that is monitored by a sensor. If we move away from the set point, a switch is ipped. This signal is transmitted to an effector, resulting in a response that returns the internal environment back to original set point. Homeostasis is a cycle of events in which the status of body condition is monitored, evaluated, changed, and re-monitored, etc . 2 main body systems responsible for homeostasis. Receive input form cns, then in response to that it changes it to hormones, and up or down regulate hormonal release to effect changes in endocrine system. Homeostasis is going to recur due to constant interplay between many body systems. These systems maintain body processes or functions in a relatively narrow range. For homeostasis we need to monitor a process that has a narrow range around a set point.
