Document Summary
Some authors found the odyssey as a comic (funny) Last like (cid:862)thus the(cid:455) (cid:272)o(cid:374)du(cid:272)ted the fu(cid:374)eral of he(cid:272)tor, the (cid:271)reaker of houses(cid:863) He said (cid:374)ah, i"(cid:373) od(cid:455)sse(cid:455), i"(cid:373) (cid:271)etter tha(cid:374) that: laestrygonians (cannibals) ate some of his men. He overcomes these people: sirens (sexual power is represented) (their song is so intoxicating that the male sailors get into danger and become their food) His men following the path of civilization. These cyclopes are huge and dumb with one eye (this reflect on how they see very little) This says how awesome and smart the greeks are. Odyssey and his men drive a heated wooden stake in his eye and they escaped by going under the sheep: showing that the greeks are cunning and clever. After this he travels to the world of the dead: world of the dead and odyssey. Shows that he can confront death and return from it.
