Document Summary

The bottled water lie: pr cis and reflection 4. Bottled water is a huge market with consumers spending about billion yearly and consuming an average of 26 gallons per person in the united states. The tap water challenge is a blind taste test to see if consumers could tell the difference between bottled water and tap water. Furthermore, a 1999 report concluded that bottled water was no safer than water taken from the tap. I have bought bottled water is the past and i had always thought that it tasted better. However, i now believe that is because i knew it was bottled. I put this theory to the test and tried the tap water challenge at home with the help of a friend. The water had a slightly different taste, but one did not taste better than the other and i could not distinguish the two.
