Un scientists warn time is running out to tackle global warming: pr cis & reflection 1. A report from the ipcc conducted by un scientists urge governments, businesses and consumers to act immediately on climate change (adams, 2007). There could be disastrous consequences, such as global temperature increase, rising ocean levels, destruction of species and economic devastation, if changes are not made to implement cleaner technologies within the next 8 years from 2007 (adams, 2007). The report also states that was economically and technologically feasible to tackle climate change at that time (adams, 2007). I had always known that climate change is a persistent issue that will have devastating effects. Though i did not know that it has now passed the point where it will have dangerous consequences. I had also thought we would need newer/better innovations to implement cleaner technology. However, in 2007 we had the technology and money to avoid these consequences.
