When aquinas talks about motion it is the movement from potentiality to actuality. Medieval way of talking about a change in an object"s condition. Final causation (explaining appealing to purposes) or efficient causation (something happening before the thing you are trying to explain that made that thing happen) Principle of sufficient reason: any object there must be some explanation for its existence. Why not allow for an infinite regress of earlier causes.
