Happiness, first and foremost, consists in knowing what it consists in, which is true of voluntary evil as well whole purpose of human life is the achievement of happiness. The souls of those who aren"t virtuous become sick, and they are vicious. Happiness tied to what type of state you live under so, he is also interested in happiness and how to attain it. Recall: human soul is a rational soul with vegetative part, sensitive part, and rational part (which contains intellect)
