There are cultural differences in practicing social behaviours & interpreting experiences. Humans are more similar to one another than different (brown, 1991). In america, the squeaky wheel gets the grease. In japan, the nail that stands out gets pounded down. Self is autonomous vs. self is connected with others, it is about relationships.
