The choice to defect the other person is a good choice for the individual but if both people defect its a bad outcome. Charts on phone - know ranking of outcomes. You defect and partner cooperates = you get t for temptation and they get s for suckers pay. You cooperate and they defect= you get s and they get t. Better off to defect but if everyone does, relatively bad outcome. Cooperate with those only who cooperate as well. The ability to discriminate cooperation from defection- need to know if partner defected or cooperated. Sneaky- start of cooperating but then would slide into defection.
