Nation a political entity people who share a culture, ancestry and history. State a political entity a territory with designated borders (ex: argentina) It is documented that there are 7000 different languages, although over the years this has declined due to electronic communication, increasing international migration, etc. Symbols anything that carries a particular meaning recognized by people who share culture: these allow people to make sense of their lives, or else existence would be meaningless.
