Sexual deviance perspective is subjective, relative to place and time. We all think we"re more enlightened about sex than preceding generations. -our grandchildren will feel the same way about us! Youth talk about hooking up, not love affair but booty call. Vague but suggestive, broader definition (can mean booty call) -virginity & chastity has become a stigma for many. -has gradually gained acceptance (still demonized in the middle east) -legalized across usa in 2003 (some states still had anti-sodomy laws) -touching penis or vagina with mouth or breasts. -even married couples could be jailed for oral sex under sodomy laws of 11 states. - seen as a mental illness until 1973. Conversion therapy is unpleasant and does not work. -allowed to openly serve in canadian military in 1992, the usa 2011. -gay marriage legalized in canada in 2003, and in all states since. -only united church & episcopalians have gay marriage.
