Cyber emotional intelligence: examines assumptions we make about people based on their online personalities. Pseudo-science: idea presented as science but does not actually utilize basic principles of scientific thinking/procedure (1/4 canadians believe. Theory explanation for broad range of observations that also generates new hypothesis and integrates numerous findings into a coherent whole. Built on hypothesis that is continuality tested and confirmed. Measure of good theory is not number of people who believe it. Psychology examines individual as a product of multiple influences (biological, theories does not equal belief all theories not equally plausible psychological and vocal factors) Biophysical model: a means of exploring behaviour as a product of biological, psychological and socio-cultural factors. Moments of life occur at all 3 levels: biological = brain structure and chemical, psychological = memories, emotions and personalities, social = family, peers, ethnicity and culture. Ability to understand, analyze and apply scientific information.
