Ans: at the start of his discussion, he is concerned with what ethics is and the issue of how moral judgments are to be made. The issue he focuses on is how moral judgments differ from practical judgments. He also talks about how people are constantly living a lifestyle to what they believe they think is right. Singer addresses that if we are to accept that a person is living according to ethical standards, the justification must be of a certain kind. For instance, a justification in terms of self -interest alone will not do . The aspect of reasoning is basically to consider the interests of all living things equally and not to weight the interests of one higher. Ans: singer states that in fact that it is impossible for all humans to be equal as some are born tall, short, intelligent, artistic, sporty, talentless or what not.
