o But we only care if it is statistically significant (*)
o If there is no * then only say it is not statistically significant

o Choose the model with the highest R2

o Tells us the strength of the relationship
o Square it to give R2
Regression equation
o It should only contain variables that are statistically significant
o E.g. table 5
1. personal income = a + -0.21 (female) + -0.27 (family immigrants) + e
2. personal income = a + -0.24 (female)+ -0.25 (family immigrants) + 0.22
(high school) + 0.17 (college) + 0.18 (graduate) + e
