Functional: people with very similar skill levels and they are grouped together to perform a task. (work in their proper areas of expertise) Divisional: grouping people together who are working on the same task, product or project. Matrix: combination of functional and divisional structures to gain some sort of advantage and to minimize the possible disadvantages of both. (service industries, non-profit sector, manufacturing) Organizing and organization structures: traditional organization structures. Functional: divisional, matrix, horizontal organization structures, team structures, network structures, boundaryless structures.
