Increasing the prob of a beh (how: reinforcement, the process by which consequences strengthen beh, always positive, motivated to repeat the beh, idea that if engage in beh again, the consequence will happen again, two types, positive. What schedule should be use to reinforce desirable beh: continuous, every time good beh (cid:224) positive reinforcement, ex: ignoring a bully so he wouldn"t have the outcome he wanted, meeting: somebody says something socially inappropriate (rare that somebody says anything just silence). Fixed: every 5th, 10th time display the beh, gets good reinforcement, ex: piece rate system, tree planter: for every acre of land with planted tree : get money. Variable: see book, when it"s variable and truly valuable, employee will be excited for next time he gets unexpected reinforcement, ps: move down the list to have the most fast and continuance learning of the employee (long term)
