Document Summary
A eukaryotic, multicellular organism that gets its carbon and electrons from other organic molecules. It gets these molecules by absorbing them or decaying organisms directly into itself. It serves as the receiving end of the electron transport chain by which atp is contructed. The kingdom which contains eukaryotic, multicellular, ingestive heterotrophs. A protein which can attach onto the antigen of a pathogen and disable it. A protein on a pathogen such as a virus or bacterium which an antibody can bind to and disable. An organism that does not use oxygen for respiration. They often use a mineral redox reaction to obtain free electrons, and oxygen is toxic for them. Bacterial resistance to an antibody rendering it ineffective. They can do this by changing the target protein, producing other proteins with the same function as the target, pumping the antibody out, or by deactivating the antibody with an enzyme.
