First evidence of scientific definition of a cell. *not history dates won"t be memorized, only preamble. We build on other peoples discoveries, which need to be commnunicated and shared. Get description of every part of complex cells, which was later found to have a method of classification. Viruses require hosts, don"t replicate on their own, don"t metabolize. They don"t have cells and aren"t considered to be living . Shwann and virchow defined the cell theory, discussed on slide 6. It can possibly change, since it"s a theory and can be proven wrong. Viruses change and we can"t say that eventually, not thriving off of hosts, won"t develop into cells. Technically, it wouldn"t disprove the theory since even viruses would be respecting the rule.
