This is the group that has a radula, filing grating structure on the tounge, against substrate to make particular matter, to consume food. Huge innovation bcuz at that time no one else scraping organic material from oceans mollusc were first. They are going to have a mantle, produce a shell to hide from predators. In this group 9% species mollusc, most diverse = snails, cuz moved up to land.
