Fauna of previously uninhabited islands began to disappear. Seafarers moved to islands abundant in wild life. Diet : hunted animals and foraged plants were processed before eating. Ex: barley was crushed in querns before consuming. Sea food was another added part of the mesolithic diet. Neolithic : neo means new and lithic means stone. Therefore, it is the final part of the stone ages.
