The signiicance of free will: why should we even care whether or not agents have free will, free will is closely associated to two philosophical issues. Free will afects the meaning of most of our fundamental moral principles and idea such as responsibility, merit, duty, jusice, remorse, human rights. These principles and idea will have a totally diferent meaning for some one who believes that all of our acions are completely determined by agencies beyond his or her power: theology. It studies the quesion of the existence, nature and atributes of god, and his relaions with man. Has to do so with free will and divine foreknowledge and providence: metaphysics. Causality, change, moion, are noions that lie in metaphysics: psychology.
