Now here, not publish or perish , but have secrecy contracts. Business only wants research done for some type of profit. Invention of electric computer first believed it was americans who invented it (enniac), but now know it"s not true. Now know it was british during ww2 (2 mathematicians who built colossus to crack. German code, signed contract saying discoveries would remain secret) These inventors who are with business, don"t get credit and miss out on lots of profit. Not about publications, but about money if you don"t mind making much money in private business. If want to be famous scientist, don"t usually work in business/gov. Silican chips become more and more powerful, eject fresh energy into economy. Feasible: don"t want to spend time confirming, just discovering, business demand for results, non scientist manager, if pushed to manager, more administrative duties and less time for research, many scientists happy for business.
