Attempts to measure mental events by monitoring brain activity. Began in 9120"s when j. watson disagreed with cognitive psychology. Deterministic: all behaviour is determined by consequential events (reinforcement, punishment) Developed by s. freud during the 19th and 20th century. Studies the role of the unconscious in determining behaviour. Mode = score that occurs most often. Median = score where half scored higher and half scored lower. Negative correlation = as one increases, the other decreases. Correlation = statistical measurement of the relationship between 2 variables. Positive correlation = as one increases, so does the other.
