Document Summary

Most sexual scripts are heteronormative: man and a woman. They are sociological because the scripts are learned and society taught us how to act. Script: interest in physical/sexual contact: sexual attraction, lustful looks, flirting, sexual desire, making out, hands wander, clothes come off, fingering, oral sex, intercourse, simultaneous orgasm. Linear model, working toward the goal of having an orgasm (did you cum?) To seem normal (according to sexual scripts) To trick her partner about his paternity because she is waiting for a better man. When partner asks are you close . Reassuring, less anxiety because you know the steps to having sex. Talking about sexy during sex, is not sexy. Non verbal communication is likely to be inaccurate or misinterpreted. Non-conformity to the script = you"re weird, odd, disfunctioning. This model make people very vulnerable for sexual dysfunction. Script is restrictive and does not allow for personal preference.
