Ageing makes people more vulnerable to physiological and psychological issues. Older people say they are very satisfied with their lives, 70% believed they were in excellent mental health. Surprising with what they may go through paradox: older people are more vulnerable, but they are also more resilient to this mental health paradox. Mental health goes down with time with both male and females, sometimes they overlap and vary. Mental health disorders are very common in adults, still common but less common in older adults. When you"re older, your mental health is better. Period effect: as you age, you become more resilient, cohort effect: they went through the great depression, wwii, etc.
