Assign groups for research processes monitor change. Reliability and validity of assessment tools: reliability. Internal consistency ; how consistently across all the items the person scores, want a high level on items that are measuring a similar concept, pro-max alpha; 1 - 4, smaller # = better. Test-retest reliability : scores should be about the same, consistency across time. Inter-rater reliability : same conclusions/ same score from different administrators. Alternate form reliability : measuring it the same way each time: validity. Content validity : do the items i have asses this construct. Convergent, the 2 phenomenon are related together ex high rates of depression = low self esteem. Divergent validity the 2 phenomenon are not related to each other. The degree to which contracts relate to a criteria or cut off.
