Ex: snakes, spiders, dogs(animals), heights, claustrophobia (situational), needles and blood, fear of water, storms, hurricanes (natural environment), dental (other) You"re more likely to be shot, electrocuted, or a victim of identity theft than being bit by a poisonous snake, spider, dog, etc. We"re not scared of the things that are more dangerous because these fears are evolutionary. We are biologically set to be afraid of certain things. Fear or anxiety about 1+ social situations where they may act stupid , may show anxiety symptoms, and be judged negatively by others. Situations are avoided or endured with distress. If you have anxiety only when performing or public speaking for example, or a particular public thing. Fear of doing something wrong and being negatively evaluated for it.
