Anxiety normal functioning alarm system in the brain is malfunctioning. Anxiety disorders are a combination of fear, panic and anxiety. General anxiety worrying about life events beyond a normal amount and it is maladaptive. Panic fight or ight mode for no reason: ex: feeling like you are being chased by a bear but there is no bear. Ptsd intrusive and reoccurring thoughts of memory that create fear: psychological preparedness can protect someone from having ptsd. Avoidance is common with all of these disorders.
