Brief psychotic disorder (1 day to 1 month) Schizoaffective disorder: continue to experience psychotic symptoms beyond their experience of mood symptoms. Catatonia: exhibit symptoms where they are demonstrating odd motor behaviours of being stuck in a posture, or can be manipulated into different postures . Must have 2+ of the following: delusions, hallucinations, disorganized speech* (ex. 50-70% of people with schizophrenia have delusions or hallucinations. Beliefs held contrary to reality: delusions of grandeur, delusions of persecution. Thought insertion (people putting thoughts into your brain ) o. Thoughts/actions imposed/controlled by external force (similar to a robot) o. Sensory experiences in the absence of stimulation from the environment.
