Idea of concept in general - ancient greeks invented this. In order to teach what is right/how to act, one should know what is means to be courageous, moral, etc. In order to fin out what different concepts meant - work of ancient greeks: renaissance - the rational experiment. Consequence might be killing an innocent family: science can tell you whether your concept of life and the different positions you are taking are consistent - if you are living a coherent life. If i believe that life is not worth living, science cannot prove its value: every theology presupposes that life has a meaning, but science does not, public life has gotten rid of religion.
