Slow food movement - prevent disappearance of local food cultures and traditions. How food choices affect world around us. Started in italy - involved over 160 countries. Make sure everyone has access to clean, fair and good food. We can collectively influence how our food is cultivated and produces. Delocalization - interrelated process in which food cariteities, production methods and consumption patterns are disseminated worldwide. Locally produced foods purchased in stores instead of growing. New food grown locally due to immigration. New knowledge and food preferences through migration of people and ideology. Prevented starvation - allowed more individuals to be fed.
