People are deeply involved with each other strong bonds and relationships b/w the members: leads to much shared information that guides behaviour, clear and appropriate ways of behaving, this information is widely shared and understood, does not need to be explicitly communicated, w. high contact cultures much communication is done nonverbally (explicitly) b/c they share a large body of info that it is clear to all members what are the appropriate ways of behaving.
