PSY393H5 Lecture 3: PSY393 Lec 3
Document Summary
Super slow motion vision- so what we see looks like slides to them. Energy filters- take things fro outside and filter it to make sense of it. Eye does not want to stare at a still point for a long time bec brain is responsive to moving objects way more. Interoreceptors- when eyes closed and hands moving we know our hands are still moving: people with problem in left parietal lobe have weak coordination. With optic flow you are going at same kind of speed both intro and external. Auditory internally from vestibular relative to gravity and also info from environment- so when yawning you are pulling on a particular muscle that makes you mute- so both intero and extero. Two point touch- fingers way more sensitive so you can tell if there are two needles touching you 1mm apart but if on the back you cant tell.
