Document Summary

Based this whole theory based on his three children. Above government and laws, i"m breaking the rule. Beliefs, values, and practices of parents regarding the proper way to raise a child. Studied 3-month infants- unobtrusive observations, over 100 hours. Y axis- child was always in contact with parents. Mom, dad, 18b, 14g, 11b, 8b, 3g (boy, girl) Incest avoidance, protection of the vulnerable, female chastity anxiety, respect for hierarchy. Secure develops from infancy- cry to get attention and love. Effective solicitation of support, open expression of emotion, and active play and exploration. Anxious/ambivalent develops from inconsistent care- caregiver being neglectful or distracted and some days mother becomes smothering. Constantly monitoring for signs of rejection, so even when threat is gone, its hard for them to come back to equilibrium. Avoidant caregiver is never available, constant neglect, leading to become more protective, look for other caregivers. Reactive processes (cultural habits): visceral development, occurs naturally and automatically.
