Emotional intelligence: interpreting people"s emotions correctly; in the lecture we look at how this capability develops in children and why it is important for development. We will see that parent child relationship plays an enormous role in the development of emotional intelligence. Infants are in one state or the other. Meta-cognitive skills: includes self monitoring, self reflection and self regulation feeling, and being able to label emotions and experiences. 1: self regulation is something that translates into many important life outcomes.
