Sometimes mating system is the same as social systems (not always) 1 female mates with many males but each male mates with only that female. 1 male mates with multiple females but each female. Hamadryas mates with only that male baboon males are usually sires of all group offsprings. Polygynandry both males and females mate with multiple members. Can out compete other groups in inter-troop competition. More individuals means more knowledge of resources (increased foraging efficiency)
