Document Summary

Ast101 week four october 6th, 2016. 1st law: an object in motion remains in motion unless acted upon by an outside force. 2nd law: acceleration is proportional to force and inversely proportional to mass. ie, a = f/m. 3rd law: for every force, there is always an equal and opposite reaction force. If you add up the momentum of everything in a closed system you will find that no matter what happens, this momentum is conserved. If you add up the angular momentum of everything in a closed system you will find that no matter what happens, angular momentum is conserved. There is a force between any two objects in the universe. The force is proportional to the product of the masses of each object. The force is inversely proportional to the square of the distances. There is a gravitational force on the ball. The force causes the ball to accelerate. The longer it falls, the faster it goes*.
