Document Summary
Olympic mons (21km high) might be the highest volcano in the solar system. Tectonics used to be active on mars due to: + valles man: the biggest canyon in the solar system. + opportunity still working fine (45km and keep going) There are ice caps( mixture of co2 & h2o) which are 3,5 km thick, covering mars poles seasonally. When the temperature reach -10 celsius degree, liquid water might flow (evidences of erosion in between mountains ranges at -10 celsius degree). Due to the minerals in these mountains, the freezing point of ice were lowered, melting into liquid water.
